Amsterdam, 5th February I attended Cinema for Climate Action. Hosted at the Eye Film Museum with views of Amsterdam Centraal station.
There was short films, panels, audience questions and a very nice sparkling no-secco drink for afters.
Guest speakers included: Oxfam, Badvertising, WaterBear, Movies that Matter plus more.
Hosted by Creatives for Climate a global network of creatives, now 5400 strong, all working in the creative industry having a role in influencing and communicating climate and carbon reduction initiatives for groups and brands.
Below is Creatives for Climate’s Greenwashing watch swatch, made to highlight some of the common ways companies have been misleading consumers which is now legislated against. You can read more about EU laws, regulations and the approaches the European Commission are using reduce carbon which are also ensuring we are having renewable fuels made by the large fuel producers. Fly Green Alliance contribution was to present to 40 advertising agencies in 2024 alongside M&C Saatchi and Locate Production at an Ad Net Zero education session, where we discussed the reduction of carbon from the travel elements of production.
